TrueWatch is an average Spyware/Adware detection and deletion program. You do get some control of the Express scan and the Custom scan; everything else is an automated process.
We could not find any information about TrueWatch's compatibility with Windows Vista.
TrueWatch has a basic anti-spyware feature set. It removes adware / spyware, dialer software and keyloggers. It also has rollback capabilties if you change your mind about something. There is a one-click update feature as well. In addtion, TrueWatch provides you with the ability to specify additional suspected programs, block ActiveX downloads, tracking cookies for IE or harmful downloads.
TrueWatch finds an average amount of spyware components. Once the component is found, you may double-click it to get a very brief description of the component. Then you can choose to Ignore it, Remove it, or disable it and back it up in "Quarantine".
TrueWatch is easy to use. It's not the prettiest interface we've seen but it works.
There are only a few customization options. You can either scan with the Express scan or the Custom scan. Express Scan scans your memory, cookies and parts of the registry to find spyware/adware on your system. Custom Scan allows you to choose what will be scanned, including all of your hard drives.
TrueWatch is very easy to get set up; one quick download, then automatic installation begins.
There is a small help file in the product that will give you some information regarding use its features. There is also a step-by-step guide with screenshots to help you from start to finish. If you need additional help, you can contact customer support thorugh email.
TrueWatch is an average Spyware/Adware detection and deletion program. If you want limited functionality and customization and want to save a few bucks, this might work well for you.
