Spyware Killa is a very basic product for detecting known spyware/adware applications that my already be on your PC. There is a basic list of spyware apps and when you do your scan, it will tell you if you have those apps on your PC. Then, you can choose to remove them.
Ease of Setup/Use:
This product seems to be in its infancy as far as a detection and deletion system. There are not any restore capabilities but there is a back-up feature so you can copy the selected components to a backup disc before you delete them from your hard drive.
Detection Effectiveness:
This product is effective at detecting only a very limited number of spyware/adware components. There are no severity ratings associated with the components.
Removal Effectiveness:
This is a very easy product to use with an intuitive interface.
System Performance:
Very little customization. Just the basic “start scan at start up,” and “ask before removing Spyware.” Other than that it is just a scan-only detection system.
Scan Performance:
It's a fairly simple download and installation process. You have to download the free copy that doesn't let you remove any of the components. Then you must purchase an "activation number". to unlock the full features.
Support/Documentation:
There is a small Help page similar to an FAQs page. There is also a suppport email address if you need additional help.
Summary:
For about the same price, you could get much, much more from other solutions in the marketplace.
