Anti-Spyware 2008 by Computer Associates International is an easy-to-use, no-frills anti spyware program with a fair set of features, including Real-Time Tracking, and good help support. Anti-Spyware's main liability is its inability to effectively detect and remove spyware.

Detection Effectiveness:
Anti-Spyware 2008 detected much of the spyware and adware we tested, but missed some-which is why it didn't score as well with us. However, Anti-Spyware 2008 does offer real-time tracking, which keeps spyware from getting onto your computer in the first place.
Removal Effectiveness:
Spyware removal could have been better, getting rid of about 70% of installed spyware, malware, and adware.
Support/Documentation:
Anti-Spyware 2008 has several different support applications: the program has a built-in help feature and their website offers a FAQs page. Computer Associates International offers a technical support number, but this isn't toll-free.
Summary:
Anti-Spyware 2008 is a snap to install, easy to use and protects fairly well against spyware, but falls short when it comes to effectively detecting and removing dangerous spyware.
