Ease of Setup/Use:  

AntiSpy searches for spyware in real-time. In other words, the program monitors and alerts you as spyware applications attempt to install and run. Once a spyware component is detected you will be able to select it and read a brief description. Once components are found, you may click on the component to see a brief definition.

Anti-Spy is missing one feature—rollback capabilities. If you change your mind after deleting a spyware component you can't restore it. But spyware is easy to come by, so it’s likely you won’t suffer the loss for long.

Detection Effectiveness:  

AntiSpy does not search for as many known spyware components as other anti-spyware products in the marketplace. However, AntiSpy catches common ones and keeps their database updated regularly.

Removal Effectiveness:  

AntiSpy is good at removing what it does detect, but there are anti spyware applications that detect more spyware and malware than AntiSpy.

System Performance:  

We didn't notice a performance decrease after installing AntiSpy on our test machines, and with relatively short scan times, AntiSpy is good for older, slower computers.

Scan Performance:  

Full system scans took between 15 and 20 minutes, so it takes very little time to check your system.

Support/Documentation:  

Anti-Spy has a Help section in their product and an FAQ section on their website. They also have an email address for support. However, we couldn't find any FAQs relating directly to the AntiSpy product.
